Hoists can be adapted to atmospheric conditions, and for instance also to explosion hazards. The components that are used for this purpose conform to the ATEX guidelines. DEMAN delivers hoists that has been adapted to the explosion group and hazard zone that is defined by you. Such equipment conforms completely to the ATEX guidelines and is provided with the required certificates.
Bulk goods can be handled more efficiently with an adapted grab crane. DEMAN builds grab cranes for the handling of wood waste, cocoa beans, slag, household waste, etc. The automated control facilities of the cranes ensure 24/7 high performance and safe operations.
Light crane systems
GIS is the only Swiss manufacturer of chain hoists and light crane systems. Due to its modular design, GISKB “light crane systems” can be easily adapted to the individual requirements of the workplace. The standard system is based on a cold rolled “Omega” section, which can be used for goods handling and is available both in a linear (2 dimensions = overhead runway) version and in an area-covering version (3 dimensions = mobile crane).
The broad product range is available with 4 section types (GISKB I – GISKB II – GISKB III and GISKB IV) and is provided with large number of unique possibilities.

Single-girder crane system
The single-girder crane system in GISKB steel is also available with a lifting capacity of up to a maximum of 1,600 kg. Trolley and crane travel can be achieved manually, or as stepless electrical movements. The steel sections are normally delivered in a light-gray colour, but at the request of the customer they can be painted by in a RAL colour of his choice. Galvanized steel sections are also available on request. The unique thing about the GISKB steel girders is the possibility of reaching locations outside of the standard working surface, by using a telescopic girder. This is very handy for reaching working zones that might otherwise be unreachable, for instance due to interfering columns.
Double-girder crane systems
By using two girder sections, the lifting capacity can be increased to 2,000 kg. Greater spanning widths also become possible. By increasing the strength of the sections, the spanning width can be increased even further. This can also be achieved by using multiple runway gantries. Because the hoist can be mounted between two girder sections, the form of the construction will become more compact and provide a higher and more useful lifting height. Trolley and crane travel can be achieved manually, or as stepless electrical movements.
GISKB aluminium profiles
The ergonomics of a manually operated crane system is increased strongly, due to substantial weight savings and very low resistance of the trolley wheels. The GISKB aluminium series combines these advantages, both in the single-girder and the double-girder variants. And of course, without losing sight of flexibility and the compact construction form. The lifting capacity is, however, limited to 630 kg, and movements over a horizontal surface are always manual operations.
Positioning can be carried out more quickly and precisely. This helps to shorten throughput times, which has a positive effect on production costs.

Flexible set-up possibilities, due to a broad range of profiles, connections, curves, turntables etc. Among the possibilities you will find large spanning widths.
The advantages include short assembly times, due to a good initial design, pre-mounted and pre-wired components, including optimal suspension possibilities and connections.

The low dead weight of the aluminium sections makes applications possible, in which the surroundings only permit smaller static loads. And ergonomics and time savings are, of course, also important plus-points.
High quality is ensured by the non-corrosive material. Another advantage comes from lowering the noise level, which is made possible by high-quality nylon wheels. This also increases the operating life and limits maintenance costs.
Precise load movements, with very low vibrations, ensure the precision of all movements and an ergonomic operation, even without a motorized drive.
Magnetic crane systems increase performance, especially with regard to frequent handling of steel sheets, sections, tubes, coils, etc. The integration of a magnetic system in the overhead crane is a specialty that DEMAN has mastered to perfection, due to long-term experience.
If no supporting structure is available in the shape of a building, then either a full- or a half-gantry crane model is used. At times a gantry crane is installed in an existing building, which runs underneath an existing overhead crane, so that an additional and independent material flow can be achieved. One of the two legs is a reciprocating leg, due to the thermal effect of an outdoor positioning, inaccuracies in the crane rail and a sagging of the box girder(s) when under load.
Most full gantry cranes are set up outdoors. This can be either a single-beam or a double-beam crane, without or with corbelling.
Besides the gantry crane itself, a crane rail and a power supply cable are required, the latter with a cable winder.
DEMAN process cranes offer logistic solutions, which are designed and built for intensive transshipment (for instance of steel products). In continuous production processes, very high demands can be made on cranes. Depending on specific requirements, optimal speeds and use classifications are determined. This results in a process crane that ensures problem-free operations, during the predefined operating life.
Here DEMAN can largely take specific customer demands into account for this process crane. This is possible both for technical aspects, as well as the choice of partners for important components (drives, transfer facilities, frequency control devices, etc). We can always come to an agreement, on your choice of preferred, high-quality partners (automation, communications, etc).
Load stability, also in case of eccentric loads, can be guaranteed through an overhead crane with a telescopic mast.
A reduction of the floor surface, which is required for carrying out logistic manipulations, is often an important plus point with such telescope cranes. Floor logistics often require broad aisles for forklift trucks and carts. Here, telescopes cranes can also be an alternative, instead of roller conveyors that limit the freedom of movement.
Travelling wall cranes
Besides the more frequently used half-gantry crane, travelling wall cranes are often used for additional and 3-dimensional operations, in the workshop space under overhead cranes. Such travelling wall cranes operate on crane gantries, which are foreseen along one of the side walls at a specified height and specified interval, in parallel to one another. The lower crane gantry takes up the vertical and horizontal forces, while the upper gantry only supports the horizontal forces.
The major advantage of travelling wall cranes is that there is no additional hindrance at a floor level, such as a crane gantry or the foot of a half-gantry crane, which occupies a certain length and width of the workplace.
At a local work position, a jib crane can be the ideal hoist. It is a practical and safe way of handling all kinds of loads.
Wall jib cranes
Wall jib cranes are usually attached to a wall or a pillar in the building.
Column jib cranes
Column jib cranes can be freely positioned in a space. The jib crane is mounted on a column.
